Welcome back! When exploring Korean convenience stores, sometimes you want to step away from the heavy, greasy comfort foods and grab something on the healthier side. Today, we are looking at the GS25 You Us Blueberry Greek Yogurt.
Priced at a rather steep 3,900 KRW (roughly $2.90 USD), this falls definitively into the “premium” snack category for a convenience store. But does the quality justify that hefty price tag, or are you just paying for fancy packaging? Here is my 100% honest review!
The moment you peel back the lid, you are greeted by a very clean presentation. The plain Greek yogurt and the blueberry jam aren’t pre-mixed; they sit neatly separated. There aren’t any extra dry toppings (like granola) visible on top, but the 140g portion size feels like a pretty solid amount for a quick afternoon snack.
When it comes to Greek yogurt, the most critical factor is the thickness.
The Consistency: This is definitely not your average, runny yogurt. It has a genuinely heavy, dense texture—thick enough that your spoon will comfortably stand straight up in it! The rich, mouth-coating feel is actually quite satisfying.
The Blueberries: Intermingled within the syrupy jam are actual whole blueberries. While they don’t dominate the cup, biting into them occasionally provides a nice, subtle pop of texture.
Sweetness & Acidity: The natural tartness of the Greek yogurt isn’t overly aggressive, and the blueberry jam isn’t cloyingly sweet, either. When mixed together, it creates a very well-balanced, clean, and mild flavor profile that isn’t heavy on the palate.
The Downside: I do wish the blueberry jam had a bit more of a bold “punch.” Because the yogurt itself is so thick and prominent, the jam’s flavor feels just a little too weak to fully wrap around it.
Here is where we need to be ruthlessly honest. Even after scraping the 140g cup completely clean, I didn’t feel very full.
More importantly, when you compare this to the rest of the yogurt lineup in the convenience store dairy aisle, the price is exceptionally high. While the taste and the thick texture easily pass the test, looking at that $2.90 price tag makes you tilt your head and wonder if it was really worth it.
At the end of the day, it is a genuinely tasty, high-quality cup of Greek yogurt. However, it completely fails the value-for-money test. It’s an unfortunate case of a good product ruined by premium pricing.
I recommend this if: * You have some extra cash to burn and want a genuinely thick Greek yogurt.
