Honest Review- CU Triple 3-Tier Burger – Is it a Meat Lover’s Dream or Just a Filler?

Welcome back to Slurp & Stream! Today, we’re looking at a real heavyweight in the Korean convenience store burger scene. If you’re someone who thinks one patty is never enough, CU has heard your prayers with the “Triple 3-Tier Burger.”

Priced at 4,900 KRW (approx. $3.60 USD), it’s one of the more expensive items in the warmer, but it promises a massive amount of protein. Let’s see if this “Triple” threat is actually a winner!

✨ First Impressions: The Chunk Factor

This burger is noticeably bigger than your standard C-store fare. The name “Triple” isn’t just marketing fluff—you can actually see three distinct patties stacked on top of each other through the package. It radiates a “I’m here to fill you up” energy.

🍔 The Build: Three Layers of Meat

I popped it in the microwave for about 45 seconds to get it nice and melty.

The Surprise: I expected extra bread between the patties (like a Big Mac), but it’s literally Bread-Patty-Patty-Patty-Bread. That is a lot of processed meat in one place! If you are looking for a meat-centric experience, this is definitely it.

👅 Taste & Texture: Quantity Over Quality

Now, let’s get real about the flavor.

  • The Patty Quality: It’s better than that Spicy Pork Cutlet Kimbap (2/10) I hated last time, but it still has that very distinct “processed meat” texture common in C-store burgers. Don’t expect a juicy, flame-grilled steakhouse patty. It’s dense, salty, and gets the job done.
  • The Balance: With three patties, it could easily be a desert in your mouth, but CU added enough sauce to keep it from being too dry. However, don’t expect any fresh, crunchy veggies—the meat is the undisputed boss of this burger.

💡 Final Verdict: The “Stomach-Filler”

Compared to the CU Ham & Egg Muffin (6/10), the muffin wins on flavor balance. But if you are absolutely starving, this burger wins on sheer volume.

  • Score: 5 / 10
  • Re-purchase intent: Only if I’m extremely hungry and on a tight budget.
  • Slurp & Stream Pro Tip: This burger is a lot of heavy meat and bread. To really enjoy it, pair it with a spicy cup of ramen. The spicy broth cuts through the greasiness of the patties and makes the meal feel much more complete.

🏁 Summary

It’s big, it’s meaty, and it’s $3.60. It won’t win any gourmet awards, but if your goal is to be full for hours, the Triple 3-Tier Burger is a solid choice. Just don’t forget the spicy ramen on the side!
